Even the Most Creative Processes Need Structure
ADDIE Model Brings Proven Quality to eLearning Methodology
HALIGHT's approach to creating innovative eLearning solutions is a synthesis of cutting edge technological presentation and the proven design model known as ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation).
Each phase in the ADDIE model includes a Interaction/Feedback and Quality Control loop that sets up an intuitive dovetailing into the next phase. The systematic approach yields significant advantages in the creation of eLearning, making agreement on results at the end of each phase a must before proceeding. The creative approach is validated early in the development process, ensuring courseware output is optimized, and the audience is appropriately engaged.
The Five Phases of ADDIE
During the Analysis phase, our instructional designers develops a thorough understanding of the breaches between the desired outcomes or behaviors, and the learners' current knowledge and skills. In the Design phase, documentation is created specifying the learning objectives, assessment scales, exercises and content. It is during the Development phase that the actual creation of eLearning materials is accomplished. The Implementation phase sees these materials being delivered or distributed to the trainees. Once delivery has occurred, the eLearning solution's effectiveness is subjected to rigorous Evaluation.
